Well, should anyone end up here with the same question, do yourself a favour and go with Handbrake, you won't regret it. I've been using it for years and not only it never disappointed me once, but with the time it only got better. Handbrake is WAY more solid and reliable. Anyway I played with it for some time, but when I saw it failing again at a small transcoding task I decided it was not for me. Unfortunately the software is a bit of a mess, it tries to pull too many things at the same time while failing at the most basic stuff like calculating correct file sizes for different formats and resolutions. I want to compress all the mp4 using ffmpeg's -crf argument with a value of 23, to save disk space. Here, you are using the concat command to read the list of video files that you created ( fileList.txt) and copy the individual files in that order into an output file called mergedVideo.mp4. I want the jpg and text files to be left alone. Now, you can concatenate them using the following FFmpeg command./ffmpeg -f concat -safe 0 -i fileList.txt -c copy mergedVideo.mp4. The only thing that stopped me from doing that is that I didn't have with me my credit card, so I thought I would do that later and I went on downloading the software.īut then, when I tried it. I have a whole bunch of text files, jpg and mp4 in a folder. to the point that after reading the list of its features I was going to make a donation BEFORE trying the software. ffmpeg -i testy.mp4 -vf palettegen palette. ffmpeg -i test.mp4 -vf 'fps30' -an testy.mp4. The only difference is that my resolution changing lines include 'scale' after the fps specification. After visiting the webpage I was almost sure it was an amazing piece of software. My lines to convert mp4 to gif without changing the resolution but optimizing color causes small lines to appear on the left side of my gifs. Out of curiosity I tried this Shutter Encoder.
